![]() |       Perogies, also known as varenyky in Ukrainian, have become a beloved food across Canada. The sale of perogies in Canada is an important symbol of cultural diversity and tradition. And it’s also a way to raise funds for charity initiatives in Ukrainian communities.
Throughout the past few months volunteers from the Parish branches of Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada and Knights of Columbus Fr. Markian Shashkevych Council 7464 have joined forces to prepare delicious Ukrainian take-out meals as a means of raising funds for humanitarian needs.
This effort has been warmly received by the residents of Burlington, and have enabled us to help many Ukrainian newcomers to Canada in their time of need.
So we are planning to make it traditional. Follow our website and save the dates for the next Perogies Dinner events.
May our Almighty Lord bless all of the volunteers and the supporters of these sales, a hundredfold for their fruitful effort and support.
